Kibera is the second largest slam in Africa. It’s just at the doors of Nairobi, already part of it and almost 1,000,000 people live in it. In Nairobi people say that the real economic power is in Kibera not in the rich neighbourhoods of the capital. However, the conditions of living in Kibera are very hard especially when it comes to hygiene standards and waste management.
This project seeks to document the alleys and rivers that go through Kibera, and in general how waste management is so critical that contribute to the spread of numerous disease within the population.
